PostHeaderIcon Babington style waste oil heater for my barn. Oil preheated to 180 degrees.

I built a babington style waste oil heater for my barn that. I was looking for a compact design on YouTube, but I could not locate one. This is what I can up with. I made an inline oil heater with a heat activated switch to preheat the oil to 180 degrees. This make the oil atomize properly for combustion. I would like to add a controller from a fuel oil furnace. It would need an 110v valve for the oil shut off, flame sensor, and ignition system. Then it would be easier to start and less risk if I was to leave it running unattended. If the flame went out due to an interruption in the oil flow, or some other problem, there is nothing to shut it down. The oil would keep flowing with or without ignition. Currently I do not leave it unattended.

If you are interested in an inline oil preheater, let me know. I sold a few already for this application for $100.
